[Supplier/Manufacturer] is assuring that all Infant Formula and dairy products manufactured by us are safe, even though there are media stories about whey protein powder affected by Clostridium botulinum.
Fonterra and the Ministry for Primary Industries announced a "quality issue" involving three batches of whey protein concentrate produced in a New Zealand manufacturing plant in May last year. These batches of whey concentrate appeared to contain strains of Clostridium botulinum, which can cause botulism.
Furthermore, [Supplier/Manufacturer] has been informed by Fonterra that all raw materials suppled to [Supplier/Manufacturer] have not been affected by Clostridium botulinum.
